Job Qualification Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of verifiable professional janitorial, custodial, commercial cleaning, housekeeping, facilities maintenance, or closely related experience preferred.
Experience working for an established commercial cleaning company, hotel/resort, hospital, school, government contractor, facilities-management company, or other professional organization is preferred.

J.A.J. Corporation is seeking a dependable and experienced Janitor / Custodian to perform professional cleaning, custodial, sanitation, and facility-maintenance services at residential, commercial, institutional, and government facilities.
The employee will be responsible for maintaining assigned facilities in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and presentable condition. Duties may include routine and detailed cleaning of offices, restrooms, classrooms, public areas, floors, windows, common areas, furniture, fixtures, and other interior and exterior areas.
The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, follow cleaning schedules and work instructions, properly operate commercial cleaning equipment, use cleaning chemicals safely, and maintain consistent quality standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine and detailed janitorial and custodial cleaning of assigned facilities.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, strip, wax, polish, and otherwise maintain various types of flooring.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, toilets, urinals, sinks, counters, mirrors, partitions, floors, walls, and other restroom surfaces.
- Clean offices, work areas, hallways, entrances, lobbies, conference rooms, classrooms, public areas, and common areas.
- Dust, wipe, polish, and clean furniture, desks, tables, shelves, fixtures, doors, frames, baseboards, and other surfaces.
- Empty, collect, replace, and properly dispose of trash and refuse from assigned areas.
- Clean interior and exterior glass, windows, doors, frames, ledges, and other glass surfaces as required.
- Perform high- and low-level dusting and cleaning, including reachable vents, light fixtures, ledges, corners, and other areas where dust and debris accumulate.
- Remove fingerprints, stains, dirt, grease, marks, and other contaminants from appropriate surfaces.
- Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning using appropriate commercial equipment and cleaning methods.
- Operate vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, pressure washers, buffers, scrubbers, wet/dry vacuums, and other custodial equipment.
- Perform floor care, including machine scrubbing, buffing, polishing, stripping, waxing, and refinishing when assigned and properly trained.
- Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, including door handles, handrails, switches, counters, and other frequently contacted areas.
- Replenish restroom and facility supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap, liners, and other consumable supplies as directed.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation procedures according to facility requirements and established work schedules.
- Mix and use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions, safety requirements, and applicable procedures.
- Properly label, store, transport, and handle cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Inspect assigned areas and identify conditions requiring additional cleaning, maintenance, repair, or supervisor attention.
- Report damaged property, leaks, broken fixtures, unsafe conditions, pest issues, or other facility concerns to the supervisor.
- Perform periodic deep-cleaning and special cleaning assignments.
- Assist with cleaning following events, construction, renovation, weather events, or other special circumstances when assigned.
